Located in the heart of the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth this masterplan emerges from the desire to harmonize human development with the natural systems that sustain it.
The project begins with an integral reading of the site, acknowledging not only its biological richness but also its cultural and historical depth. Osa is home to diverse communities and ancestral knowledge, and that multiplicity of identities becomes the foundation for a proposal that seeks balance between conservation and habitability.
The planning follows a regenerative approach, where the territory becomes the guide rather than the result. Through a detailed study of ecosystems, hydrology, and biological corridors, the project’s main components were defined: a biological research station, an immersive learning center, a wellness retreat, and a set of residential clusters that integrate organically into the landscape.
